Brief Background/Service Background:

Colton Bitton, is a proud Southerner and a proud American Soldier. On the 3rd of January in 1992 he was born in the small town of Mentone, Alabama. Colton had no family members with prior military service with the exception of his older brother who died from a blast from an IED in Iraq during the Iraq War in 2005. Almost needless to say, this drove him to join the Army after he graduated from High School in 2009 at the age of 17. Towards the end of 2009 he was sent off to Fort Benning to attend OSUT (One-Station Unit Training; Infantry). In 2010 he was deployed into Afghanistan as an Eleven Bravo (Infantryman); this would be his first of his three tours. During his first tour which lasted 7 months, he picked up the rank of Private First Class. In 2011 he was sent back to Afghanistan for his second tour, his service was pretty cut and dry; he went in and did what his MOS required him to do. Before leaving he promoted to Specialist before heading to the U.S. in late 2012 after spending almost a year and two months in Afghanistan. When 2013 came around he was assigned orders to spend another year in Afghanistan. Within four months of being in country, he was shot in his left shoulder and his left arm right above the elbow. Immediately his orders were canceled and he was sent back to the U.S. where he would undergo surgery and physical therapy. After a 2 and a half month waiting period he was still undergoing physical therapy so he was Medically Discharged from the United States Army. After this he returned home in Alabama and he bought a white 2013 Chevy Silverado 2500HD Crew Cab with his money he had saved combined with the handful of cash that he got from his time as an active duty soldier and with some of the money he got from his Medical Discharge pension. Finding work in his small town without having a college degree with a bit hard, so once he got the chance to become a ranch hand he took the opportunity.
