Legion 5 Posted November 21, 2018 The End Four years... Four years since the beginning of the end, in 2016. Suffering a Stage 4 Outbreak of M.A.V. (Mortem Animam Viventem coined by the World Health Organization during the initial stages of the outbreak) the world we once lived in has crumbled, nature has began taking back the once bustling cities and towns of the United States. The Doomsday clock has struck Midnight and mankind has been driven to the edge of extinction, nothing has been heard from any form of government in years. Any semblance of order has vanished leaving a lawless wasteland in its wake. Anarchy is true freedom, take what you need as you need what you take. Gimme Shelter Life as we know it has changed, who and what you were before the infection no longer matters, you are a survivor. May it be through fighting or hiding behind those that fight, somehow you've made it this far into the end. With the population count dwindling power in numbers is a rather popular concept. Those who survive have clumped together into camps across the United States, many with differing morale compasses. Trust is worth its weight in gold, Shamblers are predictable, but people? Not so much. Going Up The Country Our story takes us to the hills of Minnesota, December 2020. Where a year and a half ago our Generation One (Machogaming Continuation 2016-) survivors found their sanctuary promised to them. It was a decommissioned Nike Missile Bunker turned tourist trap that was left unfinished, with the missile silos and various other facilities flooding. Known to the Gen 1 survivors, it was utilized as a safe haven during the initial outbreak, and held as a defensible location for as long as it could, until the military died, fled, or left. The remnants of what was left was gruesome, and told the story of a valiant resistance of human vs. infected, although it appeared neither side lived to tell the tale. Having been left with cleanup duty, they have completed their journey and found a (once again) defensible position that had a surplus of food, medicine and ammunition. Unfortunately, time has taken its toll on these resources, and many things are now scarce once again. Six months ago (mid 2020) the Generation Two survivors (2017 Texas Survivors) stumbled upon the area themselves and after a small conflict joined the Gen 1 survivors. A body of government has been formed that splits duties into multiple sections based on individual skillsets including Security, Scavenging, Medicine, etc. It is our goal to replenish our inventory and protect our haven from Alive and Undead alike.
