  1. Staying away from supernatural, that I can say. Edit: But that doesn't mean that parasites can't actually exist. Look at it as, instead of 'l4d inspired rp' this allows us to do l4d/walking dead/resident evil/the division/the evil within/ silent hill/28 days later/28 weeks later/day of the dead/etc etc for anything referring to undead. It simply gives us more freedom and lets us do more and in turn lets people experience more.
  2. Epidemic is simply a term the admin team agreed on because it generates curiosity and isn't tied to anything in particular, except for something that spreads widely. This means everything is fair play and on the table as far as foes/allies/the actual issues are concerned.
  3. Zerg is currently out on vacation for the weekend, so no hard changes will be able to be made this week, unfortunately. However, there are things to keep in mind: 1) We have been working as an aide to Blacktea (who co-created Nutscript) & a bunch of other avid coders and have identified/brought to their attention some rather large bugs. The most recent one we found made it impossible to load created characters once you disconnected (on their Git branch). Thusly, 2) We reverted the server copy of NS to one from early June to avoid these issues, but with this that also means that some nice fixes will be missed out on until Blacktea can fix the issue. 3) Similarly, there may have been confusion serverside or on our part with certain NS files, because now when you create a character, the description doesn't stay (but it appears that if you copy + paste it once it's created in the f1 menu, it will be saved.) Although a minor nuisance, I recommend saving the character descriptions somewhere on your computer just in case [EDIT: Just confirmed that a C+P after spawn persists after quitting. Not sure why this issue exists but you should be okay if you do that]. Some (but not all) flags, such as physgun, also appear to not be permanent right now for whatever reason. 4) I seem to have PAC working on my end, but when I 'wear' my outfit, it gives a script error. I don't yet know if people can see what I wear or not, but I have confirmed by Red that even if he has PAC flags (which you shouldn't actually need), he can't access the PAC menu. I don't know if this is local to Red or not, but this is most likely due to a NS confusion between the prior version we reverted to and the newer updates. 5) We are currently working on solidifying our script to be up to par and all things (new and old) should be functioning within a few days. But that doesn't mean that Zerg can necessarily apply them until he comes home. 6) Once NS hits a stable release, we will most likely stay with it unless we're notified on something that we think will be exceptionally useful. As such, these issues shouldn't arise again. I feel it's important to be transparent with everyone, but I hope that it can still be enjoyed all the same even with these known issues for a few more days. If anyone notices anymore feel free to pm me on steam or reply here, although the error probably won't be substantial and will be fixed once Blacktea zeroes in on what he needs to do for the most recent Git release. Because the first few days will be normal civilian life anyway, most of these issues shouldn't really conflict with any RP experience, and Zerg will definitely be back by the time things may get rolling.

    Soooo...

We've been moving forward with serious idea-room and brainstorming for the last month or so, and before that it was more or less like a bunch of ideas floating in space. tl;dr the admin team is settled on a decision and we have a plan moving forward. We are currently reaching the last stages of finalization for when we return. Believe me, if Zero Hour had actually just fallen into obscurity or was not going to come back, I would have let people know.
  7. "So this world is built so that there is nothing for nothing and everything has its value. Yet before financials were entered, normal practice was trade, based on the principle of "service for service" or "goods for goods", relatively a kilo of potatoes half a hour digging in the yard. Unfortunately, we can not pay for a decent home security, unless we have a lot of them and we can sell them. Today's home alarms are reasonably reliable, easy to use, resistant to all faults, including the action of the elements. However, the security of the apartment is not only visual-acoustic signaling - see also drives for the Tarnów gates. This is the whole mass of equipment, as well as the security services company paid regularly each month, and also the service and assembly itself. As if it did not sum up the individual costs, the definitive result would be nothing but impressive. The output of one detector goes up to several hundred zlotys. Of course, you can buy cheaper, in the order of tens of zlotys, or limit the number of alarm system details to just barely a few base or most useful devices." ----So that was posted today. Except in Polish.

  12. [The following note is written on composition notebook paper in orange pen, and has been torn from it's home to be pinned on the board.] Backston and I took it upon ourselves to hit up some places at the base of the mountain. It went way better than expected gain-wise, but we did run into some trouble with a smoker and one of those things that uh, is small and laughs like crazy and jumps on your back. The military truck is holding enough fuel in the back for a good drive and a half, based on how much we've used between each stop. We have a sustainable amount of food now -- nothing spectacular, but drugstop stuff that was left, lots of ramen and macaroni. And a few odds and ends that we had room to snag. As far as I know, we're able to move out when everyone else is comfortable and ready. -- Hannah.
