It's a good app, I like the backstory, but I'm going to stay neutral, more on the end of +support, for the time being until I hear another admin's say, as we already have a detective with us.

Yeah you should have any errors due to the server content. Like I said, the worst that can happen is a lack of textures because of how TnB decided to pack the HL2 pack. Other than that it should be fine, and once you get those textures it should be fine

This is true, I had no idea someone beat us to our own idea and reuploaded it nor did I know it was added too our content. So they should work okay. But also IIRC we had alternate issues with then regarding reload animations or sounds (but they fire!) THis is hardly the place for a firearm addon discussion but I'll leave it at "they function, refinement ongoing."

Just use whatever works, we're not going to mount either, and most people typically just have every tnb model pack anyway (I do just so i never run into stupid texture issues).

We've known about this, it was suggested way back when Macho ran things. For the same reason, the art style super clashes. Anyone who uses these will mega stand out unless they overlay a texture onto it in PAC, and if we use these models for weapons they will similarly pop. Other than that it really is a fantastic pack, I wish a realism texture set existed for it.

Alright so spelling and grammatical errors aside (I understand this was a long app but periods and spell check really help reading), I really like this app. Thought was put into it, there is reason for most things, aside from maybe the robbers leaving your father's gun behind, but I'll chalk that up to them having humanity as it was the beginning and suspend my disbelief. That being said, we can't actually give you the Bull .44 as the TFA arms packs aside from the NMRIH ones were taken down by TFA so not everybody has them (you only have them if you had downloaded them while they were still up on the workshop). And as much as I'd say, "we'll give you a 686 instead and PAC can do the rest." The 686 actually currently has no specified ammo type and can't be loaded. We're looking into fixing that (as well as an alternative to those TFA weapons or seeing if we can get them back in existance for the people that don't have it locally), but until then I'm going to have to basically say the pistol will have to be a G17 for now, as it is standard for cops and it actually works. That being said if we ever fix the TFA addon situation somehow or get the 686 to have a ammo type, I'd be willing to trade it off for your placeholder weapon. tl;dr +support

I dont have the items and tested every HL2 addon individually and only the NPC pack gave me the textures. The items only gave me a couple textures for like coats, which is the textures used on the 6 or so models actually in the pack. It may just be working weird depending on your other local addons, but for me and many others it is the NPC pack that contains all of the textures for the entirety of the HL2 pack. Without it only the heads are textured and the clothes are purple checkered.

Sounds like the hair bone(s) are just inside for whatever reason. Assumption of course that it even has separate hair bones, but i've run into the issue before on women models. Just need to manually drag the main joint bone back out until it looks normal if that's the case. Also I'm moving the thread to a more appropriate location as this isn't IC interaction.

It's not the Items. It's the NPC pack. We dont have it on the server because it's rather large and we'll NEVER use the TNB HL2 NPCs. I figured this out a month or so ago when the checkered textures annoyed me, but I did infact confirm that it is the NPC pack.

Y'know how Konami sentences people to the Pachinko mines? Yeah well, you'll have to do something like that, except it's PAC mines. Where you either search everything in prosperity or the entire internet to find a model

...but the admin team has officially wasted too much time on private apps. They will no longer be private. If they are private, they will not be accepted. An character from an app can have more depth than a paragraph or two, so it hurts nobody.

Okay, I think I'm going to start needing to set more of a precedent here. And I guess that's a good thing because moving forward we'll get less of this. 1) Okay make the app or don't man, blocking out the age is so inconsequential to anyone else and it's literally a reason you'd need to app. Just a note for next time 2) I don't want to give the OK for a child entering this early with a firearm unless their backstory really sells it, personally. 3) That being said, there is a total lack of backstory here. So it doesn't sell that firearm. I did see the additional background information, but it's riddled with plot holes and doesn't make much sense. Now, I'm willing to give over a +supportfor the child character, but I am not going to give the okay for everything involved in this app, due to what is listed above in addition to the extra admin information being lacking. If you want a character, with specific things, I'm looking for an actual malleable reason with some spine to support it. And currently (at least with what I was provided), I don't feel that the app deserves a full support. And as an added caveat, my support for the character itself is based solely because of the community support here. I feel like two children is plenty for now, but if others say you have the capacity to roleplay it well, I've no reason to not support it. Apologies if it sounds harsh, I really didn't mean it to be, just saying things as I think of them.

I have my own personal reservations, along the lines of "I don't want this whole server to become gruff guys who don't give a rat's ass about anything." That said, it's a good app, and other than my bias I have no reason to not support it. Other than I've never heard of that name in my life and until I saw it repeated I thought it was a typo of 'Donald'. But yeah, I suppose I'll give +support. I have family in hell's angels so this should be interesting, yeah?
